SORBITAN TRI STEARATE (STS)

Our highly pure range of Sorbitan Tristearate (STS), is a nonionic surfactant or a mixture of sorbitol (partial esters) and its anhydrides combined with stearic acid. The chemical is produced by the esterification of Sorbitol and stearic acid, which is derived from oil and food fats. It is a light cream to tan-colored waxy and hard chemical. Its bland taste and slight odor has increased its demand as an emulsifier, stabilizers and dispersing agents in aerosol sprays and foods. The most important characteristic of this chemical is that it is completely dispersible in edible oils and insoluble in cold water.
